What About Leadership?

Some people may find themselves curious about leadership or even sensing a call to it in some way. Leadership takes shape in a variety of ways in the life of our church like project leading, team leading, group leading, and ministry leading. Leadership is not just about personality, but about character and responsibility. We want to become a church that excels in raising up great leaders. Our steps in leadership appointment are:

1. Identification 2. Training 3. Coaching

The more the leadership involves relational and spiritual influence, the more discernment is required in leadership appointment. In most cases, leadership positions have prerequisites of Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, CPC Essentials, and involvement on Serve Teams.

What About Sharing Faith?

The Bible makes it clear that we are each called to share our faith. Jesus sends all of His followers to bring His message and ministry into everyday life. There are many different ways people and churches share their faith. So, what approach do we take in CPC? It can be best summarized in these three steps:

1. Friendship 2. Friendships 3. Church

Begin by building friendships with people who don’t know Jesus yet. Then, over time, help them gain other Christian friendships. Eventually, when the openness and curiosity are there, you could invite them to join you at one of our events or services. To learn more about our relational and missional approach be sure to pick up our vision booklet at the church and read about “3 Cups of Tea and 6 Other Friends” and “Gospel Intentionality Together.” Or you can Click Here to view the booklet.
