Dearly Beloved,

Are power cords the new sock in the dryer?

Do you know what I mean? It used to be that most people figured there was something alive in their dryer that would eat ONE sock from time to time. A sock would surprisingly and totally disappear from the face of the Earth.

These days, in our home at least, power cords seem to have that same supernatural disappearing ability. We have multiple devices -phones, iPads, computers- and ample power cords for each. However, and seemingly when needed most urgently, some just simply cannot be found.

When a battery is nearly dead, you need a power cord ...NOW.

Why does this matter?

Because you and I know the power and potential of connection.

The same works for relationships.

Your relationship with God needs ongoing connection.

Your family relationships need connection.

And, the people in your local mission field need connection. In fact, their connection with you and a few other followers of Jesus is the very thing that begins generating potential for a personal connection between them and God.
